You got any power readings (kill-a-watt) from this xbox. Dashboard and in Game readings would be nice! |

You need a device called a Kill-a-watt from a home depot store or amazon. Costs about $20, unless a friend has one. You may have a Jasper, if the readings are low enough! |

The kill-a-watt is a plug in device. http://www.amazon.com/P3-International-P4400-Electricity-Monitor/dp/B00009MDBU I dont think you can use a multimeter very easily as there are no bare wires. A friend may have one, if you dont. You could be one of the first Japser owner, as this 'X' after the lot number is a new thing. A power reading will definately give you an answer, as will looking through the vents and looking for motherboard differences. If you look in with a flashlight from the opposite end to the harddrive can you see a floating heatsink? |

Very interesting, cheers for the info. Thing the power reading will give the most accurate idea what motherboard the 0839X is. The 65nm GPU/CPU combo should use a lot less power. Can you elaborate on the "2 blg black caps" also, has the 0839X got a floating heatink towards the front of the insides? |

I think the black caps would be a move to a more solid-state capcitor instead of the old style ones. Like you see on modern PC motherboards. Could be a good sign for a Jasper. |

yea it has the same heatsinks as the other 2, so it has the floating one in it but I thought the jasper doesn't have the floating one also to note there is no silver sticker on it it has a white sticker that has a red box in it that has little wavy lines in it? man I wish I had a camera, will try to get one real quick and take pictures. |

How about instead of getting a camera, get the kill-a-watt thing someone mentioned and check the power usage. |
